Sarah & Danny - Bahrain meets Hawaii

Oh how we love long distance planning and the chance to play with time zones. First off, being located on O’ahu, we follow Hawaii Standard Time. Contrary to belief, although Hawaii is located in the Pacific Ocean, we do not follow Pacific Standard Time. That being said, our beautiful Bride, Sarah, was located in the gorgeous country of Bahrain during the time of her planning. Bahrain is approximately 13 hours ahead of time to Hawaii, so their conversations were usually early in the morning (Bahrain time) or late at night (Hawaii time). It was no matter though, for both Sarah and Steph were members of the Nightowl Club and early morning phone calls or late night emails were not an issue at all.

Cue the Groom, Danny, who was from Hawaii, but unfortunately stationed on a big ship in the middle of the ocean. This left Sarah to make majority decisions of the wedding, however, she was very conscious to include things that Danny would love — such as their mutual love of jazz music, good food, desserts, and a fun time. I mean, look at their vendors! In one beautiful night they celebrated a joining of two cultures, two worlds, all on the beautiful lawn at Lanikuhonua. There was live jazz music, shave ice stand, amazing food, fire dancers and Polynesian entertainment — all enjoyed in the span of 6 hours. Not pictured though, was their amazing after party at Pint + Jigger (which sadly is no longer around), but the memories will last forever! This was a beautiful day, night, and early morning celebration. We are so happy to have been a part of Sarah & Danny’s day and can’t wait for more!
